BorderBlaster Talent Search is the latest initiative to develop the local music scene in Africa. The response for the first competition started out good. In the first round, 108 artists registered to take the chance to win the production of an album, including promotion and international distribution.

Shortly after the launch of the BorderBlaster Talent Search, the song "L'Unité" was produced by Myster B for the competition. It quickly became a first successes from the project as the song is playing on high-rotation on radios in Cameroon.
