CHORDS (Sweden) PDF Print E-mail
Chords has been on an almost constant tour throughout Scandinavia, Europe, the US East Coast and West Coast for the last years. He has made over 150 shows, primarily with Timbuktu & Damn!, but also with artists like Looptroop Rockers and J-Ro from Tha Alkaholiks.

During the last 5 years, Chords has gone from being one of Sweden's fiercest MCs to producing his own music and learning to play several different instruments. He has made himself an impressive reputation for his string punch lines and flowing rhymes. His natural talent for vocabulary and flowing rhymes is recognized. But although he was accepted to a University of journalism in The US, he chose the music career.

After having released his debut album "The Garden Around The Mansion" in 2003, Chords and his reggae band Helt Off released 2 albums and set a new standard for Swedish roots reggae.

Chords is now finally back with a new hip hop album. With the album "Things We Do For Things", he shows his incredible musical talent and diversification.

Starting out in hip hop, he digs and searches for the roots of the genre, while putting his own personal touch on the musical influences. The result is a feast of hip hop, soul, blues and disco music.

Chords' feature on J-Ro's single "U Call That Love?" was an international hit and topped the charts at Générations FM in France. It can also be added that Chords is the only Swedish hip hop artist who has released an album with a US major label.
